Just filled the fuel tank for the 240-mile run to Bartlett, TN, the home of Hypertech.
Eager to get their tune put into the Duramax.
The truck runs ok, but now that it’s pushing close to 9,000 pounds loaded, there’s just not enough ponies under the hood to move it along the way we want it to run.
The other issue is fuel economy is down in the 9s….not acceptable. The Hypertech tune is supposed to improve in that area as well. We’ll see.
I’ll take careful notes on fuel economy on the drive from Tuscaloosa to the Memphis area. — Bruce Smith/Editor
