Big Red gets an Escort SmartSite Mini rearview camera system installed today.
A welcome addition now that this truck sits a good 9″ taller than it did a few days ago. The suspension and tires really add to the tough look.
But the “upfit” has made it really difficult to see anything rear of the dually’s fenders. And the factory backup sensors aren’t working right. Have to track that down at some point.
So we turned to Escort for an easy, inexpensive fix: SmartSite Mini rearview camera system ($170).
Daniel Parker is under the truck running the wiring right now. Can’t wait to see–literally–how good the SmartSite Mini works.
