PIPELINE WELDER

Forrest Williams puts 45,000 miles a year on his ’08 Chevy Silverado 3500HD Dually 4×4 as a contract pipeline welder. The Tuscaloosa, Alabama, businessman says the Duramax – upgraded with EFILive software, S&B cold-air intake and FlowPro DPF delete – does just fine moving 3,500 pounds of equipment in the bed that includes a Lincoln Electric SA200 welder. The 8-inch Superlift suspension and 37×12.50 Hankook Dynapro M/Ts give the needed ground clearance to get to his more remote jobsites from New Mexico to the Carolinas.
