Use your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Android mobile phone to connect wirelessly to your truck’s onboard diagnostic port with PLX Devices’ Kiwi. The Kiwi installs into any model 1996 or later vehicle in seconds, using the OBDII port. Measuring just 2.75 by 1.25 by 0.6 inches, the plug-and-play hardware piece is virtually unnoticeable. When connected to Kiwi Wifi or Kiwi Bluetooth, you can use your mobile device to check speed, RPM, engine load and more.
For the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, the hardware uses Kiwi Wifi to connect, and is compatible with a number of applications such as Rev, DashCommand, SpeedPORT and more, all available from the iPhone App Store. Kiwi Wifi offers a range of tools such as horsepower and torque calculations as well as check engine diagnostics.
For Android users, the Kiwi connects via Kiwi Bluetooth. Available applications include Torque, alOBD Scanner, OBDroid and VoyagerConnect, all which can be downloaded from the Android Market. Tools include a fuel consumption mpg meter, engine diagnostic tools and horsepower and torque calculations.
PLX also offers the Kiwi MPG, which monitors fuel efficiency and consumption.
