We’ve been switching tire/wheel packages and have settled on the Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ Radials as the combo of choice.
Mickey Thompson, a sister company of Dick Cepek, stepped up to be our official tire sponsor. The Cepek Torque wheels look good.
I have to admit these tires are quite nice; very quiet for an agressive mud tire and a nice ride for an “E”-rated LT.
The 13-inch wide 35s look right at home under the flares, too. Can’t wait for a little rain so I can see how they work in the ruts and rock.
We’ll be driving to Dallas to show the truck at our Great American Trucking Show next week.
So there’s going to me about 20 hours of seat time to get a really good feel for them on the interstate. — Bruce Smith/Editor
