Trucks are being targeted in Kentucky for seat belt checks.

The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety (KOHS) reports that as the state participates in this year’s national Click It or Ticket campaign, officers will will be concentrating on pickups where it says seat belt use is the lowest, according to wlwt.com.

KOHS says the seat belt campaign is important especially during summer months when more vehicles take to the highway.

More than 50 percent of vehicle-related deaths in 2015, KOHS states, involved occupants who were not wearing a seat belt.
