It was only one Oldsmobile Alero, but it took three tow trucks to remove it.

That’s because the sedan was precariously parked above a large sinkhole at a Taco Bell parking lot in Wilkesboro, N.C.

Workers had parked that car along with two others and placed chain link fence around the hole on Sunday to keep customers from parking there.

However, by Monday morning the hole had gotten much bigger—about 10 feet wide and 20 feet deep, according to journalpatriot.com. The ground had given way under the Alero’s driver’s side tires and threatened to swallow up the sedan.

Two trucks from Champion Towing in Wilkesboro and one from Southeastern Cars & Parts in nearby Ronda, N.C. teamed up to safely remove the car.

One tow truck lifted up the front of the car and another lifted up the rear while a rollback truck on the passenger side of the Alero pulled it to safety without a scratch.

Witnesses said the sinkhole was dry. It was the second sinkhole at the restaurant’s parking lot. The first one appeared six years ago.

The restaurant remained open on Monday morning.
