A brazen truck and equipment theft in Missouri this week may end with more good news as police continue to recover stolen property though GPS tracking.

According to surveillance video, thieves spent four hours late Monday night into Tuesday morning stealing trucks, trailers and about $150,000 worth of equipment from Vac-it-All in St. Louis County.

A gate and a sign warning of video and audio surveillance did nothing to stop three suspects from forcing their way into the service lot around 11 p.m. Monday, according to ksdk.com.

One suspect was seen carrying a pistol during the four-hour heist and another was seen taking a break by sitting inside one of the company’s trucks. Ford Super Duty trucks are among the pickups Vac-it-All uses.

GPS tracking devices led police to recover two of the trucks and to arrest at least one suspect. A trailer was also recovered.

Because Vac-it-All has experienced theft before, the company is now considering installing an electric gate to help stop further break-ins. Vac-it-All, which has been in business since 1979, bills itself as the largest roof vacuuming company in the world.
