Fox News covered the tear-filled reunion live this morning which was made possible through Folds of Honor and country singer Lee Brice.

Gilbert’s plane was shot-down near Baghdad in 2006. He left behind a wife and five children. Gilbert had sold his 1992 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 before being deployed.

Gilbert’s family was given the truck this morning during a Fox & Friends news segment. The pickup was restored by Iron Cross Automotive in Oklahoma.

Brice’s popular song, “I drive your truck” played on the truck’s new stereo as two of Gilbert’s older teenage sons got into the pickup to take it for a drive. Brice’s song is credited for inspiring the reunion.
