Project Bedrock GMC

PROJECT BEDROCK: 2011 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 4×4

Every construction project needs a solid base – and nothing beats bedrock

Bedrock. When a road or construction project is built on it one can be assured whatever is built above stands on firm footing.

So it is with putting together a good company pickup that has to serve the owner on multiple levels: Find a solid platform and add the right upgrades and it’ll serve you well for both work and family needs.

That’s the premise behind Project Bedrock — our 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Crew Cab 4×4; you’ll be able to use it for both work and recreation, company business and family matters.

GMC’s motto is “Professional Grade.”  We’re taking it up a notch.

Our goal is to upgrade it with the basic necessities so whatever business you are in, be it construction, landscaping, aggregates, contracting or some aspect of the heavy equipment world, the Bedrock GMC Sierra will serve you well.

The upgrades we have in mind will  it ideally suited for the small contractor, start-up landscaper, or worker in the construction business.

At the same time, Project Bedrock will be a good family vehicle that can tow the boat to the lake, transport the ATVs to the riding area, carry the hunters to the stand, or be a comfortable vehicle for the family headed on a nice weekend outing.

It’ll have a little ‘tude in the way it’s setup, too. We plan on adding a  little electronic muscle  to the 5.3L Chevy V-8 under the hood, include a touch of shine here and there to attract attention, and keep as much sport in the look and feel as we do business.

After all, it’s a waste of time and good money having your company pickup fade into the crowd when it’s just as easy to make it look cool.

So for all of you GM lovers out there who like to have a little bit of cake to eat once in a while, this Bedrock build is for you. Build upon our ideas and upgrades as you see fit.
