LED light bars have become a mainstay in the world of off-road racing – and in heavy construction and mining work environments. That’s because LED lights are both more efficient and last far than other light sources.

PIAA, a world-leading aftermarket performance light supplier, has broadened their LED light offerings with the addition of three RF Series light bars that feature Reflector Facing Technology (RFT).

RFT concentrates and focuses the beam pattern of the reflector-facing LED bulbs more precisely than forward-facing LED lights.

This allows for a true, controlled beam pattern, along with more light output per watt than competitive designs.

They offer these innovative LED light bars in three sizes — 6 inch, 10 inch, and 18 inch, and they all utilize the latest CREE LED chips. The six inch model, RF 6, incorporates two high intensity 8w LED chips.

The ten inch model, RF 10, features four such chips, and the massive RF 18 light bar sports eight of these powerful LED chips.

All three sizes are available in either fog or driving light configuration.

A particularly clever feature of the RF Series lights is their modular design, which allows multiple lights to be linked together for a clean, unified appearance in a wide range of lengths.

Justin MacLauchlan, Brand Manager for PIAA explains, “PIAA pioneered Reflector Facing Technology (RFT), which allows our LED lights to produce much more illumination with fewer LED chips than competitive forward-facing designs. A few competitors need to use, in some cases, up to 5 times the number of LEDs in their lights to produce light output similar to that of our RF Series lights.

As a result of our Reflector Facing Technology (RFT), ” says MacLauchlan, “we are able to produce light that will give the customer a true beam pattern, more usable light output and distance, and much lower amp draw.”
