Buyer’s Products poly-coated Grab Handles

Sometimes it’s those small $5 items that can make a big difference in how efficient a work truck is on the job.
Buyer’s Products, one of our Big Red project truck sponsors, has just about any accessory or piece of hardware a shop would ever need to upfit a work pickup, service body or trailer.
Just flip through their 2012 catalog to see what I mean.
One such accessory is the poly-coated grab handles.
Why does a pickup need grab handles? Normally they wouldn’t.
But if the truck is equipped with a slide-in service body–and your pickup is sitting on a six-inch suspension lift–a pair of grab handles become a much-appreciated upgrade.
That’s what we installed on each side of the Fleetwest Load N Go service body in our Big Red GMC Dually project truck.
The poly-caoted steel handles feel good to the touch and firm when you use them to hoist yourself up or down from the bed. Installation of both of Big Red’s grab handles took less than 15 minutes.
