Company completes testing of premium, synthetic diesel fuel

Greyrock Energy said Monday it has completed testing of a premium diesel fuel at an advanced heavy duty diesel engine dynamometer laboratory.

“While our fuel meets ASTM diesel fuel specifications, it is important to understand how the fuel performs in today’s heavy duty diesel truck engines,” Dr. Dennis Schuetzle, Greyrock’s Chief Technology Officer, says. “The fuel performed very well, showing reduced particulate emissions, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide emissions.”

Greyrock’s synthetic diesel fuel is produced from natural gas using Greyrock’s proprietary MicroGTL systems, and significantly exceeds ASTM D975 standards in critical areas such as cetane, sulfur, lubricity and lower aromatic content, the company says.
