Chevrolet has already yanked the curtain back on a pretty awesome looking special edition; its 2015 Rally Edition Silverado. But with football season barely underway, Chevy is giving a nod to the flagship school in one of the country’s largest market for pickups.
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 UT Edition is a Texas Longhorn fan’s dream. Ram already lays claim to a Longhorn edition pickup, leaving Chevy to pickup the school’s initials.
The truck comes in only one color (yep … Sunset Orange Metallic) and has UT Longhorn logos painted on the bed and tailgate. There’s no shortage of them in the interior, either.
The truck comes in either double-cab LT or LTZ trim or crew-cab LTZ trim with the Texas Edition Package.
Chevrolet, The University of Texas Athletics program, IMG College and the Texas Exes UT student alumni association last year announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement, designating Silverado as the Official Truck of the Texas Longhorns and of the Texas Exes. Silverado is also the Official Truck of Bevo, the Texas Longhorns’
mascot.
