Big Red Standing Tall

Big Red standing tall early in the build

Truck Supply & Outfitters have completed the major upgrades on Big Red.

They have  put in the  Cognito lift, Fab Fours HD bumper and Mile Marker SEC15 15,000-pound electric winch, and upfitted the Duramax with a number of BD DIesel and AEM performance parts.

We’ve had the 10-lug American Force wheels and 35Ă—12.50R22 Toyo Open Country M/Ts balanced and the front end aligned.

Now they have a lot of details to handle, from running wiring in the service body to setting up the stoarage compartments to installing gauges and Transfer Flow’s 56-gallon fuel tank in the truck.

We still have AMP Research PowerSteps and steps to install, Hypertech’s programmer to plug in, along with a number of other upgrades we’ll cover as the build moves along.

The Vanair Air N Arc 150 all-in-one power system makes what we have now a true service vehicle. But the addition of other hand tools and accessories will really round this truck out.

Big Red is ready for work-well, almost. The Vanair Air N Arc 150 all-in-one power system is fully functional. We just have a few more upgrades to finish inside the Fleetwest Load N Go service body.

Of course, with all the more exposed areas of the servcie body and truck protected with Line-X Extra, Big Red should be good to go to any jobsite when we get our Mobil Delvac-sponsored GMC 3500HD complete in the next couple months.

(Oh, it’ll be on display at the ProPickup Truck Expo in Dallas Aug. 23-25…in case you want to see it in person!)
