The best selling luxury vehicle in the U.S. is a pickup, not a car.

Forbes reports today that five of the top 10 vehicles with hefty sticker prices of $50,000 or more are full-size trucks parked in the lap of luxury.

Ford’s F-150, dressed to impress in either its Lariat, Kings Ranch or Platinum trim packages, ranks as the best-selling luxury pick-up.

Here’s how Forbes adds it up: Around 50 percent of the 780,354 F-150s sold in the U.S. last year were luxury models. None of the other luxury automakers come close. Not BMW, Lexus or Cadillac.

Forbes gives a nod to the GMC Sierra Denali, Titan XD Platinum Reserve, XD SL and PRO-4X and the Toyota Tundra 1794 Crew Max 4Ă—4.

Looks like there’s no longer anything wrong with hauling manure while sitting in a hand-stitched leather seat that massages an aching back.
