Lifted trucks looks good and are fun to drive, but getting into one can sometimes prove akin to an Olympic event.

To help ease the transition from the ground to the cab, AMP Research offers PowerStep XL, an automatic electric-powered running board.

The stepping surface drops down three inches lower than AMP’s original PowerStep and can be mounted alongside AMP’s BedStep which provides a quick, leg-up into the truck bed.

Each step features integrated LED lights and can support 600 pounds. When the truck door is opened, the step quickly drops down from a textured, aluminum rail that is designed to create a seamless look.

Stainless-steel pivot pins, marine grade aluminum and an anodized, PTFE coated military spec finish guard against corrosion.

The PowerStep XL weighs anywhere from 10 to 20 percent less than its steel OEM counterparts.

The PowerStep XL is available for crew cab versions of the 2014-2016 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500; 2009-2016 Ford F-150 SuperCrew; 2008-2016 Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450 SuperCrew models; 1999-2001 Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450 SuperCrew models; 2004-2007 Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450 SuperCrew models; and 2013-2015 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 Crew Cab models.
