Cap and tonneau cover manufacturer A.R.E Accessories will debut in May a thicker aluminum commercial pickup cap designed for the toughest work conditions.

The DCU Max truck cap is a line extension of A.R.E.’s most popular commercial cap that features a .063-thick aluminum skin for added durability on the job.

Built for virtually any type of commercial use, A.R.E. reports that the DCU Max cap will be especially useful for oil and gas, utility, and telecommunications company fleets that require the most durable storage for on- and off-road use.

The DCU Max has a smooth, white, thick metal exterior that can be painted to match OEM paint colors or custom fleet finishes.  An OE-quality finish can be applied during production at A.R.E.’s state-of-the-art paint facility in Dundee, Ohio, using an environmentally friendly water-based paint system.

Structural support for the DCU Max is provided by a .080 thick fully-welded aluminum frame that stands up to heavy equipment and rough terrain.

With the option of more than 200 customizable storage configurations, professionals can use the DCU Max to create a custom truck bed solution that uniquely meets their needs while withstanding punishing environments.

A variety of door and window configurations, toolboxes, ladder racks, interior lighting and power box options, side panels and cap heights from 23 to 29 inches are available with this latest addition to the DCU truck cap line.  A back-up camera system is also offered for improved visibility when driving in reverse.

A.R.E. Accessories offers BOLT lock technology as standard equipment on its DCU Max truck caps in the folding T-handles on all doors. BOLT locks are permanently programmed to a specific ignition key, reducing downtime caused by lost and broken keys while minimizing theft.

The DCU Max and other caps in the DCU series are backed by a three-year warranty on materials and workmanship.

Truck owners can custom build and view the DCU Max on their vehicle when the product becomes available in May by visiting www.4are.com and selecting the “Build Your Own” link.  The site helps customers explore their options for creating DCUs, including a selection of lighting, windows, door sizes and more.
